BANJARMASIN, narasipublik.net – Another fire occurred in Banjarmasin City, this time it hit the Semanda 5 Complex area, RT 32 Sungai Lulut Village, East Banjarmasin District, Saturday (10/2/2021).
This incident occurred at around 19.00 WITA, scorching 2 rented houses with 10 doors and 1 two-story house with minor damage.
Marsel (38) Head of RT 32 said that the incident occurred when he left the house to go to the shop.
“I was going to the shop at the time,” he said.
On the way, he saw white smoke coming out of the top of the house and immediately rang an electric pole to alert residents.
“Seeing white smoke, I immediately rang the electric pole,” he explained.
Residents immediately gathered and tried to help residents of the house and extinguish the fire while waiting for firefighters to arrive.
Thanks to the persistence of the Fire Department, the fire can be brought under control in approximately 45 minutes.
Due to this incident, 2 rented houses belonging to H Salbiah and H Murjani, each of which had 5 doors, were burn to charcoal.
“Meanwhile, one other house was only damaged in the back,” he said.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, but it is strongly suspected that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
“We still don’t know and I’m still collecting data,” he said.
When asked about the loss as a result of the incident, he did not dare to confirm. The reason, it is still waiting for a report from the victim.
“I’m waiting for the victim to report the loss, so we don’t know yet,” he concluded.
